Anton Erkoreka (1950, Biscaya, Basque Country) is a Basque historian of medicine and an ethnographer. He is director of the Basque Museum of the History of Medicine and Science, located at the University of the Basque Country. Biscaya
Biscay (; eu, Bizkaia ; es, Vizcaya ) is a province of Spain and a historical territory of the Basque Country, heir of the ancient Lordship of Biscay, lying on the south shore of the eponymous bay. Basque Museum Of The History Of Medicine And Science
The Basque Museum of the History of Medicine and Science Jose Luis Goti was founded in 1982 to preserve the historic memory of medicine in the Basque Country and conserve its scientific heritage. The Museum is located on the university campus of Leioa ( University of the Basque Country) and is important in the training of students in the Faculty of Medicine and the students coming from other faculties and schools. Its nowadays director is the professor and doctor Anton Erkoreka. Spanish Flu Pandemic
The 1918–1920 influenza pandemic, commonly known by the misnomer Spanish flu or as the Great Influenza epidemic, was an exceptionally deadly global influenza pandemic caused by the H1N1 influenza A virus.
