Anton Basansky
Anton Alexandrovich Basansky (russian: Антон Александрович Басанский; born 7 July 1987, Palatka, Magadan Oblast) is a Russian political figure, deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, 8th State Duma convocation. His father, Alexander Basansky, is a multibillionaire and takes the fourth place in the Forbes ranking of the hundred Russian civil servants with the highest incomes. In Anton Basansky 2009 he graduated from the Saint Petersburg Mining University. In 2020 Basansky continued his education at the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration. From 2015 to 2021, he was a deputy of the Magadan City Duma of the 6th and 7th convocations. In 2016 he was appointed the head of the regional branch of the Young Guard of United Russia. State Duma
The State Duma (russian: Госуда́рственная ду́ма, r=Gosudárstvennaja dúma), commonly abbreviated in Russian as Gosduma ( rus, Госду́ма), is the lower house of the Federal Assembly of Russia, while the upper house is the Federation Council. The Duma headquarters are located in central Moscow, a few steps from Manege Square. Its members are referred to as deputies. The State Duma replaced the Supreme Soviet as a result of the new constitution introduced by Boris Yeltsin in the aftermath of the Russian constitutional crisis of 1993, and approved in a nationwide referendum. Alexander Alexandrovich Basansky (; born 6 May 1963) is a Russian oligarch. According to a 2022 article, he is the First Deputy Chairman of the Magadan Oblast Duma. He is a former high-ranking officer in the Soviet special services, and an ally of Russian president Vladimir Putin.
