Antoine Aucagne (born 11 April 2000) is a French professional rugby union player who plays as a fly-half for Top 14 club Perpignan. Career Born in Vichy, he is the nephew of former France international rugby union player David Aucagne. He came though the academy at Aurillac, having joined them in 2017 from RC Vichy. He made his first start for the first-team against Grenoble in February 2021. He also played for the French University team in 2022. In September 2023, he captained Aurillac for the first time, in the Pro D2, against Colomiers Rugby. Later that season, against the same opponent, he achieved a full house, scoring a try, conversion, penalty and drop goal in the same match. He finished the 2023-24 season as the top scorer in Pro D2. Vichy (, ; ) is a city in the central French department of Allier. Located on the Allier river, it is a major spa and resort town and during World War II was the capital of Vichy France. Union Sportive Colomiers Rugby or Rugby Colomiers is a French rugby union club currently competing in Pro D2, the second level of the French rugby pyramid. They had been relegated from Pro D2 after finishing last in the 2006–07 season, but earned promotion from Fédérale 1 at the first opportunity in 2007-08, and survived a relegation scare in 2008–09, finishing 14th, in the last safe position. Pro D2
The Pro D2 is the second tier of rugby union club competition division in France. It is operated by Ligue Nationale de Rugby (LNR) which also runs the division directly above, the first division Top 14. Rugby Pro D2 was introduced in 2000. It is the world's best supported second tier rugby union league. Season structure There are 30 rounds in the regular season, with each team playing each other home and away. There is relegation and promotion between both the Top 14 and Nationale, the third-level competition. The top two clubs at the end of the season qualify automatically for home semi-finals, with the clubs placed 3rd through to 6th playing in an elimination round to advance to the semi-finals. In the game of rugby union, there are 15 players on each team, comprising eight forwards (wearing jerseys numbered 1–8) and seven backs (numbered 9–15). FC Grenoble Rugby
The Football Club de Grenoble Rugby (FCG) is a French rugby union club based in Grenoble and founded in 1892. FCG was champion of France in 1954 and runner-up in 1993 during a controversial final, being deprived of the title of champion of France following a refereeing error. The club also won the Challenge Yves du Manoir in 1987 and was finalist in 1969, 1986 and 1990.
