ANTI – Contemporary Art Festival
ANTI – Contemporary Art Festival is an art festival that presents site-specific contemporary art which covers all artistic forms from sculpture and environmental art to dance, live art and performance. The annual festival is held in Kuopio, Finland. The first ANTI Festival was first organized in 2002 by The Arts Council of Northern Savonia. The ANTI – Contemporary Art Festival Association was established in 2005 to coordinate the festival. Over the years, ANTI has become Finland's leading presenter of live art, as it promotes innovative developments in Sonic art, sonic and visual arts. Artworks featured in the festival are presented in multiple different locations depending on the theme and nature. Jing Zhao (, born 1975), also known by his pen name Michael Anti, is a Chinese journalist and political blogger, recognized for his posts about freedom of the press in China. He has been described in mid-2000s as "at one time perhaps the most famous political blogger on China's Internet.". Biography Born in a Hui Muslim family in Nanjing, Anti graduated from Nanjing Normal University in 1995 where he majored in Industrial Electrical Automation. Beginning in 1998, he started posting essays on the Internet, and became a journalist shortly afterward. He lost his job at a Chinese newspaper in 2003 when the entire paper was shut down in retaliation of its support for political reform. Anti (born August 2, 1964) is an American sport shooting, sport shooter, a former Major (United States), Major in the United States Army, U.S. Army, and a marksman in the U.S. Army World Class Athlete Program. He competed at the 1992, 2000, 2004 and 2008 Olympics in 50 m small-bore rifle events and won a silver medal in the three positions event in 2004.
