Anthony Simonsen
Anthony Walter Simonsen (born January 6, 1997) is an American professional Ten-pin bowling, ten-pin bowler. He has been a member of the Professional Bowlers Association (PBA) since 2014. Simonsen became known in bowling fan circles early in the PBA Bowling Tour: 2016 season, 2016 season, when he earned the distinction as the youngest player in history to win a PBA major championship (USBC Masters). He is now the youngest player in history to own five major PBA Tour titles. He uses the Bowling form, two-handed shovel-style delivery with a dominant right hand. At age 25, Simonsen eclipsed $1 million in career PBA earnings during the 2022 season. Simonsen has also bowled internationally as a multi-year member of Team USA. Simonsen is a pro staff member for Storm Products, Roto Grip bowling balls and Vise Grips finger inserts. A native of Little Elm, Texas, Simonsen now resides in Las Vegas, Nevada. PBA World Championship
The PBA World Championship is one of five major PBA (Professional Bowlers Association) Ten-pin bowling, bowling events. It is one of three PBA Tour major events that are open only to PBA members. (The U.S. Open (bowling), U.S. Open and USBC Masters allow qualifying amateurs to enter.) Prior to 2002, the tournament was called the PBA National Championship. The PBA National Championship was first contested on November 28, 1960, then called the First Annual National Championship; the winner was PBA Hall of Famer Don Carter (bowler), Don Carter.
