Anthony Polite
Anthony Michael Lewis Polite (born 21 June 1997) is a Swiss professional basketball player for Río Breogán of the Spanish Liga ACB. He played college basketball for the Florida State Seminoles. Early life and high school career Polite was born in Lugano, Switzerland, where his father was playing basketball professionally. He grew up playing football and basketball. He moved to the United States to attend high school at Saint Andrew's School in Boca Raton, Florida. As a senior, Polite averaged 20 points and 11.7 rebounds per game, earning All-Palm Beach 6A-1A Player of the Year honors for a second straight year. He committed to playing college basketball for Florida State over an offer from Miami (Florida), among others. College career Polite redshirted his first season at Florida State due to knee injuries. The Florida State Seminoles men's basketball team represents Florida State University (variously Florida State or FSU) in the intercollegiate sport of basketball. The Colorado Buffaloes men's basketball team represents the University of Colorado Boulder. The team competes in the Pac-12 Conference of NCAA Division I. They are currently coached by Tad Boyle. The Basketball Champions League (BCL) is an annual professional basketball competition for European clubs, organised by FIBA. The Basketball Bundesliga (BBL) (English language: ''Federal Basketball League''), for sponsorship reasons named easyCredit BBL, is the highest level league of professional club basketball in Germany. The league comprises 18 teams. A BBL season is split into a league stage and a playoff stage. At the end of the league stage, the top eight teams qualify for the playoff stage, and the teams positioned in the 17th and 18th places are relegated to a lower-tier league. The LNB Pro A, currently known for sponsorship reasons as Betclic Élite, is the top-tier men's professional basketball league in France. The competition has existed since 1921. Since 1987, the Ligue Nationale de Basket has governed the league. The bottom two placed teams from each season are relegated to the second tier level Pro B.
