Anthony Onyearugbulem
Anthony Ibe Onyearugbulem (1955–2002) was a Nigerian navy captain who served as military administrator of Ondo State (August 1996 – August 1998) during the military regime of General Sani Abacha. He then became military administrator of Edo State in August 1998, handing over power to the civilian governor Lucky Igbinedion in May 1999. He was educated at St. Columbia's Secondary School, Amaimo (1970–1972) and Enyiogugu High School, Mbaise (1972–1974). He joined the navy and was commissioned on July 1, 1978. Ahmed Usman
Colonel Ahmed Usman (20 August 195114 April 2021) was a Nigerian military administrator of Ondo State and later Oyo State during the military regime of General Sani Abacha. Early career Ahmed Usman was born in 1951 and grew up in Okura-Lafia, Dekina Local Government Area, Kogi State. After joining the army, postings included Second in Command, 192 Battalion, Abak and 141 Battalion, Kano (1983–1985), United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (1985–1986) and Battalion Commander G Amphibious, Elele Port Hartcourt (1990–1991). Usman was appointed governor of Ondo State in September 1994. While governor of Ondo State, Usman installed Oba Adeleye Orisagbemi as the Attah of Ayede Ekiti. Mbaise
Mbaise is a region in Imo State in southeastern Nigeria. In the heart of Igboland, the region includes several towns and cities. It is a group of indigenous clans, connected by intermarriage. With a population density of over 1,000 people per square kilometer, Mbaise is West Africa's most densely-populated area; its 2006 population was 611,204. The Kingdom of Benin, also known as the Edo Kingdom, or the Benin Empire ( Bini: '''') was a kingdom within what is now southern Nigeria. Idoani Confederacy
The Idoani Confederacy is a traditional state based in the town of Idoani in the Ose Local Government Area of Ondo State, Nigeria. The origins of the state date back at least to 15th century, when the Oba Ozolua "the Conqueror" (c. 1481–1504) fathered the Alani of Idoani, which he made a vassal state of the Benin Empire. Early years The present confederacy, which dates to 1880, includes six eastern Yoruba communes: Ido, Amusigbo, Isure, Iyayu, Isewa and Ako. Some of these had two concurrent rulers in the past. The communities that formed the confederacy had suffered during the 19th century wars, with many people migrating to other areas.
