Anthony Marlowe (actor)
Anthony Marlowe (1913–1975) was a British stage, film and television actor. His most notable screen role was as Geoffrey Stock in the ITV crime series '' Ghost Squad'' between 1962 and 1964. He made guest appearances in various other shows including ''Armchair Theatre'', ''No Hiding Place'', ''Randall and Hopkirk'', '' The Rat Catchers'', '' Rex Milligan'' and ''United!''. He appeared in a number of West End plays including '' Murder Mistaken''. In 1948 he was described as "an actor with a fine, cool quality". Personal life and death On 11 September 1939, Marlowe married the stage actress (Pamela) Merelina Watts. Together, they had a daughter, the actress Fernanda Marlowe. On 31 October 1975, Marlowe was involved in a motoring accident, where a pedestrian was injured. Upset so much by this and suffering from depression for the past six months, the actor committed suicide. Holborn
Holborn ( or ), an area in central London, covers the south-eastern part of the London Borough of Camden and a part (St Andrew Holborn (parish), St Andrew Holborn Below the Bars) of the Wards of the City of London, Ward of Farringdon Without in the City of London. Fernanda Marlowe (born 7 September 1942) is a British actress, best known for her role as Corporal Bell in the ''Doctor Who'' stories '' The Mind of Evil'' and ''The Claws of Axos'' (both 1971). Early life Born into an acting family of Spanish descent (her grandfather being Fernando Perredita), her parents were the actors Anthony Marlowe (real name Thomas Fernando Perredita) and (Pamela) Merelina Watts. ''Doctor in the House'' is a 1954 British comedy film directed by Ralph Thomas and starring Dirk Bogarde, Kenneth More, Donald Sinden, Donald Houston and James Robertson Justice. It was produced by Betty Box. The screenplay, by Nicholas Phipps, Richard Gordon and Ronald Wilkinson, is based on the 1952 novel ''Doctor in the House'' by Gordon, and follows a group of students through medical school.
