Anthony Kalik
Anthony Kalik (born 5 November 1997) is an Australian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Hajduk Split. Born in Sydney, Kalik played youth football at Manly United FC and was then offered a 2 year scholarship at the Australian Institute of Sport before making his professional debut for Central Coast Mariners. Kalik has represented Australia at under-20 level. Early life Kalik is of Croatian origin. Both of his parents came to Australia from the island of Korčula, at time part of Yugoslavia. His father Denis, a former football player for BŠK Zmaj, coming from Blato and his mother Francis coming from Vela Luka. St Leonards, New South Wales
St Leonards is a suburb on the lower North Shore of Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. St Leonards is located north-west of the Sydney central business district and lies across the local government areas of Municipality of Lane Cove, North Sydney Council and the City of Willoughby. Korčula
Korčula (, it, Curzola) is a Croatian island in the Adriatic Sea. It has an area of , is long and on average wide, and lies just off the Dalmatian coast. Josip Skoko (born 10 December 1975) is an Australian former professional footballer who played as a central midfielder for North Geelong Warriors, Hajduk Split, Genk, Gençlerbirliği, Wigan Athletic, Stoke City and Melbourne Heart. Skoko has been described as a central midfielder with "superb on-ball ability, inch perfect passing, and his ability to turn defence to attack in an instant." A-League Men (known as the Isuzu UTE A-League for sponsorship reasons) is the highest-level professional men's soccer league in Australia and New Zealand. At the top of the Australian league system, it is the country's premier men's competition for the sport. Glen Joseph Trifiro (born 10 July 1987) is an Australian professional footballer who plays as a central midfielder for Sydney United 58 in the National Premier Leagues. Career After playing for several years with various state league clubs in NSW and Victoria, Trifiro signed on loan from Sydney United with the Central Coast Mariners in the A-League during the January Transfer Window. Following impressive performances, he was handed a one-year contract to play on with the club into the next season. 2014 FFA Cup
The 2014 FFA Cup was the inaugural season of the FFA Cup, the main national soccer knockout cup competition in Australia. 631 teams in total from around Australia entered the competition. Only 32 teams competed in the competition proper (Round of 32), including the 10 A-League teams and 22 Football Federation Australia (FFA) member federation teams determined through individual state preliminary rounds held in early 2014 (and 2013 in the case of the ACT). Palm Beach Soccer Club is an Australian amateur soccer club based in Gold Coast, Queensland. The club was formed in 1966. History Palm Beach In 1964 Eddie Wardell organised a group of boys, one of which was his son, to play football out of Palm Beach and compete in a three team football competition against Kingscliff and Twin Towns. The first game for Palm Beach was held at Salk Oval and the team members wore plain green T-shirts but the team would later move to a council paddock also located in Palm Beach. Vela Luka
Vela Luka (, it, Vallegrande) is a small town and a municipality in Dubrovnik-Neretva County in southern Dalmatia, Croatia. The town is located on the western side of the island of Korčula at the bottom of a wide bay which has many indented coves. Vela Luka developed at the beginning of the 19th century in a deep sheltered bay. Its name means "big harbour" in Croatian chakavian.
