Anthony Firkser
Anthony Paul Firkser (born February 19, 1995) is an American football tight end for the Atlanta Falcons of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Harvard and signed with the New York Jets as an undrafted free agent in 2017. Firkser also spent time on the Kansas City Chiefs' practice squad. Early years Firkser was born in Englishtown, New Jersey, to Alex and Donna Firkser. He is Jewish, and he and his family, including his brothers Josh and Thomas, belonged to Temple Shaari Emeth in Manalapan, where he celebrated his bar mitzvah. High school career Firkser was a multi-sport athlete at Manalapan High School. In basketball, Firkser played point guard, scoring 21.3 points with 7.6 assists per game. Tight End
The tight end (TE) is a position in American football, arena football, and Canadian football, on the offense (sports), offense. The tight end is often a hybrid position with the characteristics and roles of both an offensive lineman and a wide receiver. Like offensive linemen, they are usually lined up on the offensive line and are large enough to be effective blockers. On the other hand, unlike offensive linemen, they are eligible receivers adept enough to warrant a defense's attention when running pass patterns. Because of the hybrid nature of the position, the tight end's role in any given offense depends on the tactical preferences and philosophy of the head coach as well as overall team dynamic. In some systems, the tight end will merely act as a sixth offensive lineman, rarely going out for passes. Temple Shaari Emeth
Temple Shaari Emeth (meaning "gates of truth"; Hebrew: השערים של אמת) is a Reform synagogue located at 400 Craig Road in Manalapan, New Jersey, United States. History Founded in 1966, Temple Shaari Emeth originally had 50 member families, and had its facilities at two Manalapan residences. Irwin Goldenberg was the congregation’s first religious leader. The congregation established a religious school, with 23 students attending the first class which was held on February 18, 1966 at the two Manalapan homes. The U.S. Route 9 corridor in Manalapan was expanding quickly, and many Jewish families from New York City were relocating to the area. By 1967, the members of Temple Shaari Emeth needed more space for the growing congregation. In 1968, Kevork Hovnanian donated 3.5 acres of land on Craig Road in Manalapan. 2014 NCAA Division I FBS Football Season
The 2014 NCAA Division I FBS football season was the highest level of college football competition in the United States organized by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). The regular season began on August 27, 2014 and ended on December 13, 2014. The postseason concluded on January 12, 2015 with the inaugural College Football Playoff National Championship game at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
