Anthony Camal
Anthony Camal was an American teacher, high school coach and former firefighter who was a national and international competitor in judo. Born in New York City, Camal was originally instructed in Judo by his father. Camal earned a bronze medal in the 1989 National Championships in Judo. Anthony Camal was a seven-time New Jersey state champion in Judo. He won the World Police and Firefighters championships in 2001, and took silver in 2003. Camal has held the Annual Camal Judo North Eastern Championship for at least 14 years. Camal currently serves as the first vice president of the Hudson Yudankashi, a regional body of the United States Judo Association. Camal was also an instructor of Mixed Martial Arts and Jiu-Jitsu. Mixed Martial Arts
Mixed martial arts (MMA) is a full-contact fighting combat sport, sport based on strike (attack), striking and grappling; incorporating techniques from various combat sports from around the world. Jiu-Jitsu
Jujutsu ( , or ), also known as jiu-jitsu and ju-jitsu (both ), is a Japanese martial art and a system of close combat that can be used in a defensive or offensive manner to kill or subdue one or more weaponless or armed and armored opponents. A subset of techniques from certain styles of jujutsu were used to develop many modern martial arts and combat sports, such as judo, aikido, sambo, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, ARB, and mixed martial arts. Characteristics " Jū" can be translated as "gentle, soft, supple, flexible, pliable, or yielding", and " jutsu" can be translated as "art or technique". Little Falls is a township in Passaic County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. The township was named after a waterfall on the Passaic River at a dam near Beattie Mill. As of the 2020 United States census, the township's population was 13,360, a decrease of 1,072 (−7.4%) from the 2010 census count of 14,432, which in turn reflected an increase of 3,577 (+33.0%) from the 10,855 counted in the 2000 census. History Little Falls traces its first European settlement to 1711, when seven Bergen Dutch settlers banded together to begin farming.
