Antero Laukkanen
Antero Jorma Laukkanen (born May 30, 1958), is a Finnish priest and politician, who has represented the Christian Democrats in the City Council of Espoo since 2001 and in the Parliament of Finland since 2015. He was elected to the Parliament from the Uusimaa constituency in the 2015 elections with 2,520 votes. Laukkanen was born in Kouvola. The Christian Democrats ( fi, Suomen Kristillisdemokraatit, sv, Kristdemokraterna i Finland; KD) is a Christian-democratic political party in Finland. It was founded in May 1958, chiefly by the Christian faction of the National Coalition Party. It entered parliament in 1970. The party leader since 28 August 2015 has been Sari Essayah. Uusimaa is a Finnish constituency represented in eduskunta. It covers the administrative region of Uusimaa, excluding the capital city of Helsinki, which forms its own constituency. Uusimaa elects 35 members to eduskunta, which makes it the largest electoral district in the country. Kouvola () is a city and municipality in southeastern Finland. It is located along the Kymijoki River in the region of Kymenlaakso, kilometers east of Lahti, west of Lappeenranta and northeast of the capital, Helsinki. Kymenlaakso ( sv, Kymmenedalen; " Kymi/Kymmene Valley") is a region in Finland. It borders the regions of Uusimaa, Päijät-Häme, South Savo and South Karelia and Russia (Leningrad Oblast).
