Ante Delija
Ante Delija (born August 7, 1990) is a Croatian professional mixed martial artist who competes in the Heavyweight division of Professional Fighters League (PFL). He won the 2022 PFL Heavyweight Championship. He fought in several other organizations such as M-1 Global, Rizin Fighting Federation, KSW. Mixed martial arts career M-1 Global On February 28, 2014, Delija made his M-1 Global debut in the main event of M-1 Challenge 45 against Estonian Denis Smoldarev and lost via submission (keylock). On September 20, 2015, Delija faced Marcin Tybura at M-1 Challenge 61 for the M-1 Global Heavyweight Championship and lost after he suffered horrible open fracture of tibia. Delija had two surgeries on the leg and after second surgery he got infected by hospital bactery. The ''PFL 8'' mixed martial arts event for the 2021 season of the Professional Fighters League was held on August 19, 2021. This was the second event for of the playoffs with the Heavyweight and Women's Lightweight divisions competing. This event aired on ESPN, with the prelims on ESPN+. Background Kayla Harrison, the only two-time Olympic gold medalist in judo in the history of the United States, entered her second PFL playoffs unbeaten in 10 pro bouts. This is a list of events and standings for the Professional Fighters League, a mixed martial arts organization based in the United States, for the 2021 season. PFL's 2021 roster included 60 fighters competing across six weight classes. Valentin Igorevich Moldavsky (russian: Валенти́н И́горевич Молда́вский; born 6 February 1992) is a Russian mixed martial artist and combat sambo practitioner. He is currently signed to Bellator MMA, where he is a former interim Bellator Heavyweight Champion. He is also a two-time world and one-time European Sambo Champion in the +100 kg division. Maurice Darnell Greene (born July 5, 1986) is an American professional mixed martial artist who competes in the Heavyweight division. He appeared on The Ultimate Fighter 28 TV series. He has formerly competed in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). Background Greene started training mixed martial arts in his early 20s to lose weight after hitting the scale at 330 pounds. The ''PFL 8'' mixed martial arts event for the 2022 season of the Professional Fighters League was held on August 13, 2022, at the Cardiff Motorpoint Arena in Cardiff, Wales. This was the start of the playoffs for the Heavyweight and Welterweight divisions. Background This will mark the second PFL playoff card, along with being the first PFL event held outside of America.
