Anslom Nakikus
Anslom Nakikus is a Papua New Guinean singer. He has been described by Solomon Islands' leading newspaper ''Solomon Times'' as "the popular singing sensation of Papua New Guinea". Reggae is dominant in his music. He has produced three albums to date. His second album, produced with Mangrove Productions, is entitled ''Fool Moon''. Anslom's new album set to be released this year 2024, sees him collaborate with Jamaican reggae legend Chaka Demus with the song called “Make Me Smile” and is expected to be a massive world-wide hit and chart highly the world over. Anslom also collaborates with multi-instrumentalist and producer Ashton Barret Jnr of legendary Bob Marley & The Wailers under the supervision of booking agent Don Hines. Solomon Islands
Solomon Islands is an island country consisting of six major islands and over 900 smaller islands in Oceania, to the east of Papua New Guinea and north-west of Vanuatu. Reggae
Reggae () is a music genre that originated in Jamaica in the late 1960s. The term also denotes the modern popular music of Jamaica and its diaspora. A 1968 single by Toots and the Maytals, "Do the Reggay" was the first popular song to use the word "reggae", effectively naming the genre and introducing it to a global audience. Mangrove Productions
A mangrove is a shrub or tree that grows in coastal saline or brackish water. The term is also used for tropical coastal vegetation consisting of such species. Mangroves are taxonomically diverse, as a result of convergent evolution in several plant families. They occur worldwide in the tropics and subtropics and even some temperate coastal areas, mainly between latitudes 30° N and 30° S, with the greatest mangrove area within 5° of the equator. John Taylor (born 16 April 1963), better known as Chaka Demus, is a Jamaican reggae musician and deejay, best known as part of the duo Chaka Demus & Pliers. Bob Marley & The Wailers
Bob Marley and the Wailers (previously known as The Wailers, and prior to that The Wailing Rudeboys, The Wailing Wailers and The Teenagers) were a Jamaican ska, rocksteady and reggae band. The founding members, in 1963, were Bob Marley (Robert Nesta Marley), Peter Tosh (Hubert Winston McIntosh), and Bunny Wailer (Neville Livingston). During 1970 and 1971, Wailer, Marley and Tosh worked with renowned reggae producers Leslie Kong and Lee "Scratch" Perry. They released four albums before signing to Island Records in 1972. Two more albums were created before Tosh and Wailer left the band in 1974, citing grievances over label treatment and ideological differences. Marley carried on with a new line-up, including the I-Threes that put out seven more more albums. Marley died in 1981. Sammy Saeni (a.k.a. Sharzy) is a musician from Solomon Islands. Sharzy was born on the island of Simbo in the Western Province (Solomon Islands), Western Province. His mother is from Simbo and his father from Malaita. His musical career began in 1995 when he joined the 2-4-1 band. He produced his first solo album ''Aloha'' in 2001, which became an instant hit.
