Ansley is a village and civil parish in the North Warwickshire district of Warwickshire, England.OS Explorer Map 232 : Nuneaton & Tamworth: (1:25 000) : The parish includes the village of Ansley, Ansley Common, Church End, Ansley Hall, Birchley Heath, and formerly Ansley Hall Colliery. The village is near Arley and Astley. The parish church of St Lawrence is Norman in origin and lies outside the main village at Church End. It is a Grade II* listed building. The church includes stained glass by Karl Parsons. Ansley Hall dates from the early eighteenth century. It was taken over by the Ansley Hall Coal and Iron Company, founded by William Garside Phillips, the great grandfather of Captain Mark Phillips. The village was called "Hanslei" in the ''Domesday Book'' of 1086 and gives details that the land was owned by Lady Godiva. The town was settled by the Davis Brothers and their employees in the later part of the year 1901, before the town was established here, a dense forest of yellow pine, black gum, red gum, oak, and hickory were in evidence. These men are pioneers of the lumber industry, having begun their career as lumber men in Nevada County, Arkansas, when they were mere boys. In 1881, the company was incorporated and chartered in the year of 1902. The pine mill began operation on December 17th, 1902. Ansley Park is an intown residential district in Atlanta, Georgia, located just east of Midtown and west of Piedmont Park. When developed in 1905-1908, it was the first Atlanta suburban neighborhood designed for automobiles, featuring wide, winding roads rather than the grid pattern typical of older streetcar suburbs. Streets were planned like parkways with extensive landscaping, while Winn Park and McClatchey Park are themselves long and narrow, extending deep into the neighborhood. Ansley Golf Club borders the district. The neighborhood was largely completed by 1930 and covers . It has been designated a Historic District on the National Register of Historic Places. In 2008, the median household income for the neighborhood was $226,335.
