Miguel Zacarías
Miguel Zacarías Nogaim (19 March 1905 – 20 April 2006) was a Mexican film director, producer, and writer. Career Zacarías began directing for film in 1933. Even from his early career he developed a reputation for recognizing new acting talent; he promoted the careers of the some of Mexico's most notable actors including Pedro Armendáriz in ''Rosario'' (1935), María Félix, Marga López, Esther Fernández, Pedro Infante, Tin Tan, Cantinflas, and Manuel Medel. His 1961 film '' Juana Gallo'' was entered into the 2nd Moscow International Film Festival. Zacarías directed his last film in 1986. His son is film director Alfredo Zacarias. His granddaughter is playwright Karen Zacarias. Libertad Lamarque Bouza (; 24 November 1908 – 12 December 2000) was a Mexican-Argentine actress and singer, one of the icons of the Golden Age of Argentine and Mexican cinema. She achieved fame throughout Latin America, and became known as "La Novia de América" ("The Sweetheart of the Americas"). By the time she died in 2000, she had appeared in 65 films (21 filmed in Argentina, 45 in Mexico and one in Spain) and six telenovelas, had recorded over 800 songs and had made innumerable theatrical appearances. Pedro Infante Cruz (; 18 November 1917 – 15 April 1957) was a Mexican ranchera music singer and actor, whose career spanned the golden age of Mexican cinema. His popularity spread across Latin America. Infante was born in Mazatlán, Sinaloa, and raised in nearby Guamúchil. He died on 15 April 1957 in Mérida, Yucatán, while en route to Mexico City when his plane crashed due to engine failure. From 1939 until his death, Infante acted in over 60 films (30 of them with his brother Ángel) and recorded over 350 songs. For his performance in the movie '' Tizoc'', he was posthumously awarded the Silver Bear for Best Actor at the 7th Berlin International Film Festival. Irma Aguirre Martínez (born 21 December 1933), commonly known as Irma Dorantes, is a Mexican actress, singer, and equestrian. One of the last surviving stars from the Golden Age of Mexican cinema. Career Her first film, ''Los tres huastecos'', was released in 1948. Dorantes participated in many Mexican films of the 1950s and 1960s. In 1963, she was nominated for a Silver Goddess Award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in ''Sol en llamas'' (1962). Aside from acting, she is also a successful singer, obtaining gold and platinum records for her versions of the songs "Cuando no sé de ti", "Pequeña", "Ansiedad", "Recuerdos de Ipacarai", and "La Flor de la Canela".
