Martín Rodrigo Anselmi (born 11 July 1985) is an Argentine professional football manager. He is the current head coach of Portuguese club FC Porto. Early life Born in Rosario, Santa Fe, Anselmi played youth football for Ferro Carril Oeste. He also has a journalism degree at DeporTEA in Buenos Aires, but never worked in the profession. Tina Anselmi
Tina Anselmi (25 March 1927 – 1 November 2016) was an Italian politician. A member of the Italian resistance movement during World War II, she went on to become the first woman to hold a ministerial position in an Italian government. Early life Anselmi was born in Castelfranco Veneto, in the province of Treviso. Her father was an assistant pharmacist persecuted by the fascists because he was socialist, and her mother and grandmother ran an inn together. On 26 September 1944, Nazi soldiers forced her and a group of other students to witness the hanging of a group of 31 young Partisans. As a result, she joined the resistance movement and became part of the Cesare Battisti brigade. That year, she also joined the Christian Democracy party. Thomas Anselmi was the lead singer with Canadian bands Slow, Copyright (a.k.a. ©), and Mirror. He was one of the partners at The Waldorf Hotel before its closure in 2013. Slow Thomas Anselmi was the lead singer of Slow, a Vancouver-based, Canadian punk rock band. The band also featured guitarists Ziggy Sigmund and Christian Thorvaldson, bassist Stephen Hamm and drummer Terry Russell. They recorded and released their debut single, "I Broke the Circle", in 1985 on Zulu Records, and followed up with the EP ''Against the Glass'' in 1986. Rosina Anselmi (26 July 1880 – 23 May 1965) was an Italian stage, television and film actress. She was a prominent actress in the Sicilian language theater, especially in the province of Catania. Life and career Born in Caltagirone, Catania into a family of stage actors, Anselmi began acting with her father Alessandro, then with Nino Martoglio in some comedies written by him. She then joined the stage company of Mimi Aguglia, another important actress of the Sicilian repertoire, with whom she toured in North America. Anselmi went back to Sicily in 1910, and in 1914 she became the first actress, in spite of her status of a great character actress, alongside Angelo Musco with whom she acted for about thirty years, until Musco's death. Michelangelo Anselmi ( – ) was an Italian Renaissance-Mannerist painter active mostly in Parma. Biography He was born, apparently in Tuscany, perhaps in Lucca, from a Parmesan family of ancient Langobard origin, known as Anselmi di Cardano. He moved to Siena around 1500, where he is mentioned as painter for the first time in 1511. He was a pupil of Il Sodoma and Domenico Beccafumi. He arrived in Parma around 1515. There, he painted frescoes including several decorations in San Giovanni Evangelista, and an altarpiece for the Duomo. In about 1530, he painted ''Madonna with Saint Sebastian and Saint Roch'' (now in the National Gallery at Parma). He painted a ''Baptism of Christ'' for the Church of San Prospero in Reggio Emilia. Humberto Alfonso Monserrate Anselmi (1917–1989) was an American agronomist engineer of Puerto Rican descent. Anselmi was a founding member and former president of the Instituto De Evaluadores de Puerto Rico from 1964 to 1965. Anselmi was the son of Manuel Martín Monserrate Febo and María Anselmi Rodríguez, his brother was Adolfo L. Monserrate Anselmi By 1949 he was Chief of the Office Public Works Progress Office of Puerto Rico. He was nominated president of the Phi Sigma Alpha fraternity on four occasions. Antonio Giuseppe Anselmi (6 November 1876, Nicolosi - 27 May 1929, Zoagli) was an Italian operatic lyric tenor. He became famous throughout Europe during the first decade of the 20th century for his stylish performances of lyric roles. He never sang in the United States. Life and career Anselmi came from the Catania area on the east coast of Sicily. He studied violin and piano at the Naples Conservatory as a teenager, and then joined an operetta troupe with which he toured Italy and the Middle East. The music publisher Giulio Ricordi allegedly heard him and advised him to undergo vocal instruction with Luigi Mancinelli, one of Italy's leading conductors.
