The Ansarullah Bangla Team (ABT) (), also known as Ansar-al Islam Bangladesh or Ansar Bangla is a militant organization in Bangladesh, implicated in many terrorist activities including Attacks on atheists in Bangladesh, attacks and murders of atheist bloggers from 2013 to 2015. Bangladesh Police arrest one member of Ansarullah Bangla Team for connection with Ashulia bank robbery. History A new report in 2013 identified Muhammad Jasimuddin Rahmani as the spiritual leader of a militant group in Bangladesh. He was inspired by Anwar al-Awlaki, who had been killed by the US. He was suspected of building an Islamist terror network in Bangladesh for about minimum 5 years. Muhammad Jasimuddin Rahmani was the Imam of Hatembagh mosque, Dhanmondi. Muhammad Jasimuddin Rahmani
Muhammad Jasimuddin Rahmani () is a Deobandi jihadist islamic scholar and Mufti from Bangladesh. He was the imam of Hatembagh Jame Masjid in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Jasimusdun Rahmani, a Jihadist, is the chief of an Al-Qaeda affiliated militant organisation, Ansarullah Bangla Team. He was in custody in Bangladesh, charged under the Anti-Terrorism Act. He supported the murder of atheist bloggers. Early life Rahmani was the Imam of Hatembagh Jame Masjid in Dhaka, Bangladesh. He studied in madrasas in Bangladesh and outside the country. Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami is the largest Islamist political party in Bangladesh. The origin of the party can be traced back to the original faction founded by Sayyid Abul A'la Maududi in 1941.
