Anree Saint-Amour
Andree Saint-Amour (born March 20, 1996) is an American football defensive end for the Birmingham Stallions of the United Football League (UFL). He played college football at Georgia Tech. He began his professional career in the National Football League as an undrafted free agent in 2019 with the Minnesota Vikings. He also signed a deal in the Canadian Football League (CFL) with the BC Lions. Early life Saint-Amour was born in 1996 in Suwanee, Georgia, as one of three children to Manfred and Renise Saint-Amour. Saint-Amour's older brother Manrey, played as an offensive lineman for Georgia Southern. While at North Gwinnett, Saint-Amour was team captain during his senior year and was named All-State and All-Region. He also earned a letter which he signed for Georgia Tech after declining offers from Iowa, Michigan State, Minnesota, and Stanford. Defensive End
Defensive end (DE) is a defensive position in the sport of gridiron football. This position has designated the players at each end of the defensive line, but changes in formations over the years have substantially changed how the position is played. History Early formations, with six- and seven-man lines, used the end as a containment player, whose job was first to prevent an " end run" around his position, then secondarily to force plays inside. When most teams adopted a five-man line, two different styles of end play developed: "crashing" ends, who rushed into the backfield to disrupt plays, and "stand-up" or "waiting" ends, who played the more traditional containment style. Georgia Southern Eagles Football
The Georgia Southern Eagles football program represents Georgia Southern University in football as part of the Sun Belt Conference. The current head coach is Clay Helton. The Eagles have won six FCS (I-AA) national championships and have produced two Walter Payton Award winners. Georgia Southern first continuously fielded a football team in 1924, but play was suspended for World War II and did not return until 1981. The Eagles competed as an FCS independent from 1984 to1992 and as a member of the Southern Conference from 1993 to 2013, winning 10 SoCon championships. In 2014, Georgia Southern moved to the FBS level and joined the Sun Belt Conference, winning the conference championship outright in its first year. The 2024 UFL dispersal draft was the player selection process to fill the rosters of the eight teams for the 2024 UFL season and disperse the rosters from the eight teams from its component conferences, the XFL and USFL, that were not retained in the merger. The XFL is a professional American football minor league consisting of eight teams located across the United States in mid-sized to major markets served by at least one other major professional sports team. Seasons run from February to April, with each team playing a ten-game regular season, and four progressing to the playoffs to crown a season champion. It is headquartered in Arlington, Texas. The league was founded by former WWE executive Vince McMahon in 2018, as a reboot and successor to the league of the same name he founded in 2001.
