Anooshe Sediq Ghulam
Anooshe Sediq Ghulam (1979–2002) was a 22-year-old Afghan refugee in Norway, who was murdered by her husband, Afghan Nasruddin Shamsi, in an "honour killing". Life and death Anooshe Sediq Ghulam was an ethnic Uzbek and grew up in Mazhar-i-Sharif. She married another Uzbek, Zaheerudin Shamsi, and became his second wife. According to her own statements to the newspaper ''Dagbladet'', she was 13 years old at the time of the marriage. Morsal Obeidi ( 7 September 1991 – 15 May 2008) was a German-Afghan girl who was murdered in an honour killing in Hamburg. Her brother Ahmad Sobair Obeidi killed her, making it an act of sororicide, and he was jailed for life for the act. Background Obeidi was born on 7 September 1991 in Mazar-i-Sharif, Afghanistan. Shafia Family Murders
The Shafia family murders took place on June 30, 2009, in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. Shafia sisters Zainab, 19, Sahar, 17, and Geeti, 13, along with their father's first wife Rona Muhammad Omar, 52 (all of Afghan origin), were found dead inside a car that was discovered underwater in front of the northernmost Kingston Mills lock of the Rideau Canal, after they were reported missing. Zainab, Sahar, and Geeti were daughters of Mohammad Shafia, 58, and his wife, Tooba Mohammad Yahya, 41. The couple also had a son, Hamed, 20, and three other children. Rona, who was herself infertile, was the first wife of Mohammad Shafia in their polygamous household.
