Ann Jones (born September 3, 1937) is an American journalist and author of a number of non-fiction books about her research into women's and humanitarian issues: ''Women Who Kill'', ''Kabul in Winter'', ''Looking for Lovedu'', ''Next Time She'll be Dead'' and ''When Love Goes Wrong''. She has also written and taken photographs for a number of publications including ''National Geographic Traveler'', ''Outside'', ''The Nation'', ''The San Francisco Chronicle'' and ''The New York Times''. The majority of her work and writings centers on women's issues, especially domestic violence. Jones has provided humanitarian aid around the world, including Afghanistan, Liberia, Sierra Leone and the Ivory Coast. She currently resides in Oslo, Norway. Anna Jones (born March 1975) is a British business woman and entrepreneur who lives in London, UK. Jones is the Co-Founder of AllBright, a Members Club and community that celebrates and connects women at work. She served as CEO of Hearst Magazines, UK between 2014 and 2017. Anna joined the Board of the Creative Industries Federation in 2015 and from May 2017 to April 2018 served on the Board of Telecom Italia as Chairman of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee. Early life and early career Jones, whose mother is Danish, grew up in rural Yorkshire. ''The Actress'' is a 1953 American comedy-drama film based on Ruth Gordon's autobiographical play ''Years Ago''. Gordon herself wrote the screenplay. The film was directed by George Cukor and stars Jean Simmons, Spencer Tracy, and Teresa Wright, and features Anthony Perkins in his film debut. The film is basically a series of vignettes involving Ruth, her parents, her best friends, and the college boy romantically pursuing her. Although Gordon did in fact become an accomplished Academy Award-winning actress and a successful writer, the film ends without the audience seeing Gordon achieve her goals. ''The Actress'' was nominated for an Oscar for Best Costume Design, Black-and-White. Tracy won the Golden Globe Award for Best Motion Picture Actor in a Drama and was nominated for a BAFTA for Best Foreign Actor. This is a list of characters in the Indiana Jones (franchise), ''Indiana Jones'' series. Introduced in ''Raiders of the Lost Ark'' Indiana Jones Indiana Jones (character), Dr. Henry Walton "Indiana" Jones, Jr. (Harrison Ford), the titular character of the franchise, is an archaeologist and part-time college professor. Satipo Satipo (Alfred Molina) is a guide accompanying Indy in the temple in the film's opening. He follows behind him through the temple's traps on the way in. When Indy and Satipo reach a pit on the way out, Satipo makes it over with Indy's whip and Indy is stuck on the other side. Indy throws over the fertility idol to Satipo, who offered to throw him his whip for it; but he betrays Indy, dropping the whip and fleeing.
