Annie Chandler Grevers (born August 21, 1987) known as ''Annie Chandler'' prior to her marriage in 2013, is an American former competitive swimmer who specialized in breaststroke events and was a two-time Pan American Games gold medalist as well as a World University Games gold medalist. Chandler is a former member of the United States National Team. Early life and family Chandler was born on August 21, 1987 to Barbara and Thomas Chandler in San Antonio, Texas, where she attended Winston Churchill High School and swam for Churchill High swim team Coach Al Marks. She came from an athletic family, as her father Tom played football in the NFL, Canadian Football League, and the World Football League. Matthew Grevers (born March 26, 1985) is a former American competition swimmer who competed in the backstroke and freestyle events, and is a six-time Olympic medalist. He has won a total of thirty-three medals in major international competition, fourteen gold, twelve silver, and seven bronze spanning the Olympics, World Championships, and the Universiade. At the 2008 Summer Olympics, Grevers won gold medals as a member of the U.S. teams in the 4×100-meter freestyle and 4×100-meter medley relays, and a silver medal in the 100-meter backstroke. The eleventh edition of the Pan Pacific Swimming Championships, also known as the 2010 Mutual of Omaha Pan Pacific Swimming Championships, a long course (50 m) event, was held in Irvine, California, United States, from August 18–22.
