Annely Akkermann
Annely Akkermann (born 5 October 1972) is an Estonian politician who served as minister of finance in the government of Prime Minister Kaja Kallas between 19 October 2022 and 17 April 2023. Early life and education Akkermann was born in Linaküla on the island of Kihnu in the west of Estonia. In 1990 she finished high school in Pärnu, in 2009 her studies in economics at the University of Tartu. She speaks Estonian and English. Career From 1990 to 1991 Akkermann worked at the Commercial Bank in Pärnu. Linaküla
Linaküla is one of the four villages on the island of Kihnu, in southwestern Estonia. (retrieved 28 July 2021) Administratively it belongs to Kihnu Parish, Pärnu County. The village occupies the western coast of the island. In 2000, Linaküla had a population of 122. 2011 Estonian Parliamentary Election
A parliamentary election was held in Estonia on 6 March 2011, with e-voting between 24 February and 2 March 2011. The newly elected 101 members of the 12th Riigikogu assembled at Toompea Castle in Tallinn within ten days of the election. The incumbent government of the Reform Party and IRL continued in office until 2014 when Prime Minister Andrus Ansip resigned, ending his tenure as the longest-serving Prime Minister in contemporary Estonian history. He was replaced by Taavi Rõivas who formed a new coalition government with SDE. The Riigikogu elected after this election was the least fragmented in Estonian history, featuring only four parties. The election was marked by the highest number of running independents (32) since 1992.
