Annelies Nuy
Annelies Nuy (born 15 December 1960) is a Dutch fashion designer, founder of the lingerie line Der Kommissar. Nuy was born in Doornenburg, studied fashion and "new media" at the Academy for Applied Arts in Arnhem, and in 1997 launched one of the first fashion websites. In 1998 she launched FashionFastForward, the first Dutch fashion platform with a sales module; this was in operation until May 2002, when she took a position with the Beroepsorganisatie Nederlandse Ontwerpers (the association of Dutch designers and illustrators). Lingerie (, , ) is a category of primarily women's clothing including undergarments (mainly brassieres), sleepwear, and lightweight robes. The choice of the word is often motivated by an intention to imply that the garments are alluring, fashionable, or both. In a 2015 US survey, 75% of women and 26% of men reported having worn sexy lingerie in their lifetime. Lingerie is made of lightweight, stretchy, smooth, sheer or decorative fabrics such as silk, satin, Lycra, charmeuse, chiffon, or (especially and traditionally) lace. Doornenburg
Doornenburg is a village to the south east of Angeren in the municipality of Lingewaard, Gelderland, the Netherlands. Doornenburg Castle is located near the village. History The village was first mentioned in the 9th century as Doronburc, and means fortified place and either thorns or the Doro (person)". Doornenburg developed on a ridge in the Early Middle Ages. Doornenburg Castle started in the 14th century as a castle in front of a large square. During the 15th and 16th century, the square was aligned with buildings. The outer bailey was constructed in the 15th century and is the largest of the Netherlands. The castle and its buildings were restored between 1937 and 1941 and returned to their medieval form. In 1945, it was severely damaged and restored between 1947 and 1968. In 1742, a fort was built on the Pannerdens Kanaal, however only fragments remain.
