Anne Terpstra
Anne Terpstra (born 5 January 1991 in Zierikzee) is a Dutch cross-country cyclist. She placed 15th in the women's cross-country race at the 2016 Summer Olympics. She was on the start list of 2018 Cross-Country European Championships and was not allowed to finish. In 2019, during the Mountain Bike World Cup in Andorra, she won her first World Cup by beating Jolanda Neff in the final lap. Terpstra is the first Dutch female athlete to win a World Cup. During the 2019 UCI World Cup finals In Snowshoe, USA, she became 2nd and secured a 4th in the overall. In September 2019 she was leading the UCI World ranking for the first time. She has no relation to fellow Dutch cyclist, Niki Terpstra. Zierikzee
Zierikzee () is a small city in the southwest Netherlands, 50 km southwest of Rotterdam. It is situated in the municipality of Schouwen-Duiveland, Zeeland. The city hall of Schouwen-Duiveland is located in Zierikzee, its largest city. Zierikzee is connected to Oosterschelde through a canal. In 2001, the town of Zierikzee had 10,313 inhabitants. 2019 European Mountain Bike Championships
The 2019 European Mountain Bike Championships was the 30th holding of the European Mountain Bike Championships, an annual mountain biking competition organized by the Union Européenne de Cyclisme (UEC). The championships comprised seven disciplines: downhill, cross-country cycling (XC), cross-country marathon (XCM), cross-country ultra-marathon, cross-country eliminator (XCE), trials, and beach race. Petrópolis
Petrópolis (; ), also known as The Imperial City, is a municipality in the Southeast Region of Brazil. It is located in the state of Rio de Janeiro, northeast of the city of Rio de Janeiro. Cycling At The 2020 Summer Olympics – Women's Cross-country
The women's cross-country mountain biking event at the 2020 Summer Olympics took place on 27 July 2021 at the Izu MTB Course, Izu, Shizuoka. 38 cyclists from 29 nations were expected to compete, but only 37 did. The race ended in all three medals won by Swiss athletes, the first medal sweep in Olympic cycling history. Andora
Andora ( lij, Andeua), or Marina di Andora, is a town on the Italian Riviera in the region of Liguria, included in the province of Savona.
