Ann Jones (born September 3, 1937) is an American journalist and author of a number of non-fiction books about her research into women's and humanitarian issues: ''Women Who Kill'', ''Kabul in Winter'', ''Looking for Lovedu'', ''Next Time She'll be Dead'' and ''When Love Goes Wrong''. She has also written and taken photographs for a number of publications including ''National Geographic Traveler'', ''Outside'', ''The Nation'', ''The San Francisco Chronicle'' and ''The New York Times''. The majority of her work and writings centers on women's issues, especially domestic violence. Jones has provided humanitarian aid around the world, including Afghanistan, Liberia, Sierra Leone and the Ivory Coast. She currently resides in Oslo, Norway. Anna Jones (born March 1975) is a British entrepreneur. She is the co-founder of AllBright, a community that connects women at work. She was CEO of Hearst Magazines, UK between 2014 and 2017. Annie Jones (bearded Woman)
Annie Jones Elliot (July 14, 1865 October 22, 1902) was an American bearded woman, born in Virginia. She toured with showman P. T. Barnum as a circus attraction. Whether the cause of her condition was hirsutism or an unrelated genetic condition that affects children of both sexes and continues into adult years is unknown. Many photographers, including Mathew Brady, took her portraits during her lifetime, which were widely distributed. As an adult, Jones became the country's top "bearded lady" and acted as a spokesperson for Barnum's "Freaks", a word she tried to abolish from the business. Jones married Richard Elliot in 1881, but divorced him in 1895 for her childhood sweetheart William Donovan, who died, leaving Jones a widow. In 1902, Jones died in Brooklyn of tuberculosis. Ann Shirley Jones, (born Adrianne Haydon; 17 October 1938), also known as Ann Haydon-Jones, is a British former table tennis and lawn tennis champion. She won eight Grand Slam tennis championships in her career: three in singles, three in women's doubles, and two in mixed doubles.
