Anne-Katrin Altwein
Anne-Katrin Altwein (born Anne-Katrin Leunig 2 January 1960 in Hohenstein-Ernstthal15 January 2023) was a German sculptor, graphic artist and author. Life In 1984, Altwein completed her studies at Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design. In 2001, she accepted a teaching position at the University of Music Franz Liszt Weimar. She is successful both nationally and internationally and has won numerous awards. Her sculptures are also visible in public collections. Her marble goddess statues, named the "Three Moirs", were featured outside of the hospital in Lobeda. Hohenstein-Ernstthal
Hohenstein-Ernstthal () is a town in the Zwickau rural district, Saxony, Germany. The towns of Hohenstein and Ernstthal were united in 1898, and the town is either known by its hyphenated form, or simply called Hohenstein. The town grew in the 15th century after silver mines were established nearby. Ernstthal was named in honor of August Ernst von Schoenburg. Physicist Gotthilf Heinrich von Schubert and inventor Christoph Gottlieb Schröter were born in Hohenstein. The writer Karl May was born in Ernstthal. The house of his birth is a museum. (BURG) is the Art school, university of art and design in Halle (Saale), Halle an der Saale that was established in 1915. With a student body numbering over 1,000, BURG is one of the largest universities of art and design in Germany. It offers 20 art and design degree programmes in two faculties. The University of Music Franz Liszt Weimar (in German: Hochschule für Musik Franz Liszt Weimar) is an institution of music in Weimar, Germany. The Hochschule Franz Liszt, who spent a great deal of his life in Weimar, encouraged the founding of a school in 1835 for the education of musicians in orchestral instruments. Erklärung 2018 (English: Declaration 2018) was an open letter in Germany calling for intellectuals to provide support for protests against what the document describes as mass immigration into Germany.
