Annasif Døhlen
Annasif Døhlen (23 June 1930 – 5 January 2021) was a Norwegian sculptor. Biography Born in Stavanger on 23 June 1930, Døhlen was a daughter of sculptor Aimée Døhlen and Herman Døhlen. Among her works are portraits of Johan Scharffenberg, Håkon Bleken and David Monrad Johansen, and a sculpture of Olav V of Norway, ''Skiglede'', placed at the Holmenkollen ski arena. Other public sculptures are ''Ikaros'' from 1967 at Bygdøy, Oslo, a statue of '' Vangsgutane'', raised in Todalen, Møre, and ''Plankbærarn'' in Hommelvik, from 1999. Stavanger, officially the Stavanger Municipality, is a city and municipalities of Norway, municipality in Norway. The National Gallery () is a gallery in Oslo, Norway. Since 2003 it is administratively a part of the National Museum of Art, Architecture and Design. Hommelvik is the administrative centre of Malvik Municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. The village is located at the end of the ''Hommelvika'', a bay off of the Trondheimsfjord. Vangsgutane
''Vangsgutane'' () is a Norwegian comic strip. It was started in 1940, after initiative from Hans Aarnes, editor of the magazine ''Nynorsk Vekeblad''. The strip first appeared in ''Nynorsk Vekeblad'' in October 1940, and from 1941 as a separate Christmas album. Text writer was Leif Halse, and the first illustrator of the strip was Jens R. Nilssen, who made the drawings from 1940 to 1957. Later illustrators were Atle Steinsfjord, Bjarne Kristoffersen, Ivar Pettersen and John Thoresen. The last original strip was made in 1981, and Halse, the creator of the series, died in 1984. From 1982 there have been published annual reissues of albums from the series. Oslo
Oslo ( or ; ) is the capital and most populous city of Norway. It constitutes both a county and a municipality. Bygdøy or Bygdø is a peninsula situated on the western side of Oslo, Norway. Administratively, Bygdøy is part of the borough of Frogner. It historically was part of Aker Municipality and became part of Oslo in 1948.
