Annabel Giles
Annabel Claire Giles (20 May 1959 – 20 November 2023) was a British television and radio presenter. She also worked as a qualified counsellor, psychotherapist, model, actress, writer and novelist. Early life Giles was born on 20 May 1959 in Griffithstown, near Pontypool, Monmouthshire, Wales, as the eldest of three sisters. She was expelled from boarding school at age 16 for going to see Steve Harley & Cockney Rebel play in Bristol, where she was seen smoking in the street. Career Between 1977 and 1982, Giles trained and worked as a secretary, mostly employed in advertising agencies, which is where she was "discovered". Giles was then signed up by agency Models 1, and became the official model for Max Factor. Pontypool ( ) is a town and the administrative centre of the county borough of Torfaen, within the Historic counties of Wales, historic boundaries of Monmouthshire (historic), Monmouthshire in South Wales. , it has a population of 29,062. ''Loose Ends'' is a British radio programme originally broadcast on Saturday mornings, and then transmitted early Saturday evenings from 1998 by BBC Radio 4. It was hosted by Ned Sherrin until 2006 and has been hosted by Clive Anderson, Nikki Bedi and Peter Curran since 2007. The programme brings together guests, generally from the world of entertainment, in a mix of interviews, sets by comedians and musical sessions. The Faders
The Faders were a British female pop rock band, formed in January 2004 by Polydor Records. Bassist and keyboardist Toy Valentine and drummer Cherisse Osei were the first members to get through the first audition. Pop-punk (also punk-pop, alternatively spelled without the hyphen) is a rock music fusion genre that combines elements of punk rock with power pop or pop music, pop. Ultravox
Ultravox (earlier styled as Ultravox!) were a British new wave band, formed in London in April 1974 as Tiger Lily. Between 1980 and 1986, they scored seven Top Ten albums and seventeen Top 40 singles in the UK, the most successful of which was their 1981 hit "Vienna". From 1974 until 1979, singer John Foxx was frontman and the main driving force behind Ultravox. Foxx left the band in March 1979 to embark on a solo career. Midge Ure took over as lead singer, guitarist and frontman after he and keyboardist Billy Currie worked on the studio project Visage. Ure revitalised the band and steered it to commercial chart success lasting until 1987, at which time the group disbanded. Eleri Siôn (; born Eleri Jones on 18 January 1971) is a Welsh radio and television presenter. She currently presents The Friday Afternoon Show and The Late Show on BBC Radio Wales Monday-Thursday. Early life Born and raised on a farm in Neuaddlwyd, Aberaeron, she was educated at Ysgol Gyfun Aberaeron. Her brother is the actor and author Meilyr Siôn.
