Anna Dagmar
Anna Dagmar is an independent American pianist/singer-songwriter, based in Manhattan, New York. She is known for incorporating elements of folk music, classical music and jazz in her performances. Early life Anna Dagmar was born in Welwyn Garden City, within the Welwyn Hatfield borough of Hertfordshire, England. She was exposed to classical music at a young age by hearing her father's opera recordings and from attending performances by the St Albans Cathedral Choir in nearby St Albans. She moved with her family to the state of Virginia in the United States when she was six, then relocated to Chelmsford, Massachusetts. Dagmar started taking piano lessons at the age of seven, which ultimately led to her interest in and pursuit of a career as a musician. Lucy Kaplansky
Lucy Kaplansky (born February 16, 1960) is an American folk musician based in New York City. Kaplansky has a PhD in clinical psychology from Yeshiva University and plays guitar, mandolin, and piano. Life and career Kaplansky was originally from Chicago; her father was the noted mathematician Irving Kaplansky (1917–2006). Later, she would sometimes perform math-related songs composed by her father, who was also an accomplished pianist. Shane Endsley
Shane Endsley is an American trumpeter, drummer, and composer. He is a founding member of Kneebody, as well as an active leader and sideman with other New York City jazz musicians, as well as with pop and rock musicians such as Ani DiFranco and Pearl Jam. Background Endsley was born in 1975 in Denver, Colorado, and studied trumpet, percussion, and composition at the Eastman School of Music, where he met the other members of Kneebody.
