Ann Scott (born 3 November 1965) is a French novelist. She is regarded as a social realist for her novels which paint portraits of contemporary youth and her second novel ''Superstars'' has given her a cult status in France. Biography She was born and raised in Paris, France. Her mother is a photographer of Russian descent, and her father is a French businessman and art collector. During the mid-eighties, at age 17, she left home and moved to London, England, where she became a musician, playing drums with local rock bands. She then later turned to fashion modelling for two years and was one of the first tattooed fashion models to break through in prêt-à-porter and couture in the eighties. Then at 21, on her return to Paris, she started writing fiction. She is now the author of ten novels including ''Superstars'' which has become cult and has been translated in several countries. Ann Scott is an Irish singer-songwriter from Dublin, Ireland. Music career *Ann Scott recorded her debut album Poor Horse between 2002 and 2003. Prior to its release in 2004, Scott released three EPs ''Pauper Tiger'', ''Madness'' and ''Knife''. *Her debut album received positive reviews where it was voted in Hot Press Magazine's Top 100 Irish Albums Ever at number 58. Ann London Scott (July 29, 1929 – February 17, 1975) was an American feminist. She founded the Buffalo chapter of the National Organization for Women (NOW). As legislative vice president of the national organization in the early 1970s, she led the effort to ratify the Equal Rights Amendment. She was also a poet, translator, and English professor at the State University of New York at Buffalo (UB). Early life and education She was born in Seattle, Washington, to Daniel Edwin London and Claire Chester London.
