Anlo Senior High School
Anlo Senior High School, also known as ANSECO, is a mixed public senior high school located at Anloga in the Volta Region of Ghana. It was founded in 1959 by Torgbui Adeladza II, Mr. C. K. Fiagbe and Mr J. W. K. Doe. It was established on 10 April 1959. From a humble beginning, ANSECO has grown to become the fourth largest school in the Volta Region with a student population of 2,293 made up of 1,073 males and 1,220 females. Ghana News Agency
The Ghana News Agency (GNA) is a Ghanaian state-owned news agency that was founded in 1957 by Kwame Nkrumah. Donald Wright, who was seconded by the Reuters News Agency set up the Ghana News Agency and in 1961 President Nkrumah appointed Dr. Goodwin T. Anim as the GNA's first General Manager. Some viewed the organizatioin as part of a "network of coercive and partisan institutions," in a concerted effort to present a more favorable view of the country to the outside world and to control the flow of information nationally. Volta Region
Volta Region (or Volta) is one of Ghana's sixteen administrative regions, with Ho designated as its capital. It is located west of Republic of Togo and to the east of Lake Volta. Education in Ghana uses a dualistic approach encompassing both formal and informal learning systems. The current formal educational system was introduced during European colonisation. However, learning systems existed prior to that. The Moliyili, University of Moliyili is one of the earliest learning centers in Ghana established in the 1700s.
