Anjana (actress)
Anjana is an Indian actress known for her roles in Kannada cinema. She was one of the most prominent actresses during the early 1990s and appeared in more than 20 films. Career Anjana debuted in ''Shabarimale Swamy Ayyappa'' (1990). Her breakthrough role was ''Ajagajantara'' (1991). She starred in successful films like ''Ondu Cinema Kathe'' (1992), ''Hatamari Hennu Kiladi Gandu'' (1992), ''Nishkarsha'' (1993), ''Aathanka'' (1993), and Jaana (film), ''Jaana'' (1994). Her other notable performances include ''Policena Hendthi'' (1991), ''Megha Mandara'' (1992)'','' ''Roshagara'' (1992), ''Looty Gang'' (1994), and ''Bangarada Kalasha'' (1995). She quit film in 1997 and last appeared in ''Enoondre'' (1997) as Dheerendra Gopal's granddaughter. She resides in Mumbai. Kannada cinema, also known as Sandalwood, or Chandanavana, is the segment of Indian cinema dedicated to the production of motion pictures in the Kannada language widely spoken in the state of Karnataka. The 1934 film ''Sati Sulochana'' directed by Y. V. Rao was the first talkie film in the Kannada language. It was also the first film starring Subbaiah Naidu and Tripuramba, and was the first motion picture screened in the erstwhile Mysore Kingdom. Dheerendra Gopal
Gopal Rao, known by his stage name Dheerendra Gopal, was an Indian film and stage actor known for his work in Kannada films. He acted in over 350 films and was predominantly recognized for his performances in villainous and comic roles. After making his film debut with ''Subhadra Kalyana'' (1972), he received recognition for his performance in Puttanna Kanagal's ''Paduvaaralli Pandavaru'' (1978). Career Dheerendra Gopal was noticed at a young age by Gubbi Veeranna. Gubbi Veeranna saw him solo act at a school and was impressed with his performance and invited him to be part of his company. ''Kiladigalu'' is a 1994 Indian Kannada-language comedy film directed by Dwarakish and produced by M. K. Srinivasamurthy.
