Anima (band)
Anima is a Turkish alternative rock band formed in 2000 by Ceylan Ertem, Ekin Cengizkan, Murat Çopur, and Tuncay Korkmaz. The group is particularly known for their covers on stage of artists / bands like Radiohead, Björk, Massive Attack, Pink Floyd, Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, and Jamiroquai. Although the band was disbanded in 2007, Cengizkan and Çopur still works for Ertem's solo career while Korkmaz is retired from active musical career. Ceylan Ertem
Ceylan Ertem (born 1 December 1980) is Turkish singer-songwriter. Early life and career Ceylan Ertem started her musical career by joining the Akhisar Municipality’s children choir. She started learning how to play piano in 1995 and moved to Istanbul in 1999 to continue her musical education. There she attended the Mujdat Gezen Art Academy and studied Western Music for 2 years. Then she enrolled in the Musicology department of Yıldız Technical University for her bachelor degree. In 2000, she formed the band Anima with Tuncay Korkmaz. Anima, with its all members studying in the same faculty at the YTU, released their first and only album ''Animasal'' in 2006. In 2008, she started producing the radio show ''SubidaP'' on Acık Radyo, the show aired for 26 weeks. Turkish People

Alternative rock (also known as alternative music, alt-rock or simply alternative) is a category of rock music that evolved from the independent music underground of the 1970s. Janis Joplin
Janis Lyn Joplin (January 19, 1943 – October 4, 1970) was an American singer and musician. One of the most successful and widely known rock stars of her era, she was noted for her powerful mezzo-soprano vocals and "electric" stage presence. In 1967, Joplin rose to fame following an appearance at Monterey Pop Festival, where she was the lead singer of the then little-known San Francisco psychedelic rock band Big Brother and the Holding Company. After releasing two albums with the band, she left Big Brother to continue as a solo artist with her own backing groups, first the Kozmic Blues Band and then the Full Tilt Boogie Band.
