Anil Zankar
Anil Zankar Career Anil Zankar is a recipient of two national awards, one for a film script and the other for a book on cinema and a visiting faculty of humanities and social sciences at the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Pune. He has 35 years of experience in filmmaking, teaching and writing. He is an alumnus of the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII, Pune). He has made 21 short films on social issues and institutions, biopics and corporate themes. He is a historian of cinema. Mughal-e-Azam
''Mughal-e-Azam'' () is a 1960 Indian epic historical drama film produced and directed by K. Asif. Starring Prithviraj Kapoor, Dilip Kumar, Madhubala, and Durga Khote, it follows the love affair between Mughal Prince Salim (who went on to become Emperor Jahangir) and Anarkali, a court dancer. Salim's father, Emperor Akbar, disapproves of the relationship, which leads to a war between father and son. The development of ''Mughal-e-Azam'' began in 1944, when Asif read a 1922 play called ''Anarkali,'' by the playwright Imtiaz Ali Taj, which is set in the reign of Emperor Akbar (1556–1605). Goa Arts And Literature Festival
The Goa Arts and Literature Festival (GALF) is an annual literary festival which takes place in the Indian coastal state of Goa, each December. It was founded in 2010. The International Centre, Goa (ICG) serves as the main venue of the festival, with sessions held in the Zuari, Mandovi and Abolim Halls and throughout the gardens. The inaugural event is usually held at the Maquinez Palace. Pune International Literary Festival
The Pune International Literary Festival is an annual literary festival held in Pune, Maharashtra. It was founded in 2013, and is one of the top eight literary festivals in India. In 2017, attendance at the festival reached 15,000 people. From 2016, an international organisation Salzburg Global has been partnering with the festival.
