Anicka Newell
Anicka Newell (born August 5, 1993 in Denton, Texas) is a Canadian pole vaulter. Professional Newell placed 1st at the 2018 Canadian Athletics Championships in Ottawa and cleared to qualify for the August 11 2018 NACAC Championships in Toronto, but did not clear a height. Newell placed 7th in the 2018 Commonwealth Games, clearing . Anicka Newell placed 12th in women's pole vault at the 2017 World Championships, clearing on her second attempt. Newell cleared at Texas State University San Marcos in June 2017, which is the second best all-time in Athletics Canada history, behind Alysha Newman. Great Manchester Run
The Great Manchester Run (styled as the ''Simplyhealth Great Manchester Run'' for sponsorship purposes from 2017) is an annual run through Greater Manchester (namely Manchester, Trafford and Salford). It has consisted of a 10k run since it was established in 2003, and a half marathon since 2017. The 10k race is the largest of its type in Europe. The New Mexico Activities Association (NMAA) is a nonprofit organization that regulates interscholastic programs for junior and senior high schools in New Mexico. It hosts the statewide sports championship games each year. History NMAA was organized in 1921 by John Milne, James Bickley, F. H. Lynn, and J. D. Shinkle as the New Mexico High School Athletic Association. In 1953 it began adding non-athletic activities and changed its name to New Mexico High School Activities Association. The Southland Conference, abbreviated as SLC, is a collegiate athletic conference which operates in the South Central United States (specifically Texas and Louisiana). It participates in the NCAA's Division I for all sports; for football, it participates in the Division I Football Championship Subdivision (FCS). The Southland sponsors 18 sports, 10 for women and eight for men, and is governed by a presidential Board of Directors and an Advisory Council of athletic and academic administrators. Western Athletic Conference
The Western Athletic Conference (WAC) is an NCAA Division I conference. The WAC covers a broad expanse of the western United States with member institutions located in Arizona, California, New Mexico, Utah, Washington, and Texas. Due to most of the conference's football-playing members leaving the WAC for other affiliations, the conference discontinued football as a sponsored sport after the 2012–13 season and left the NCAA's Football Bowl Subdivision (formerly known as Division I-A). The WAC thus became the first Division I conference to drop football since the Big West in 2000.
