Angola At The 2020 Summer Olympics
Angola competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. Originally scheduled to take place from 24 July to 9 August 2020, the Games were postponed to 23 July to 8 August 2021, because of the COVID-19 pandemic. It was the nation's tenth appearance at the Summer Olympics, having appeared in every Games since 1980 with the exception of the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, when it was part of the Soviet boycott. Eteri Liparteliani (born 23 September 1999) is a Georgian judoka. Career Liparteliani is a two-time Olympian and competed in the women's 57 kg event at the 2020 Summer Olympics, and the women's 57 kg and mixed team event at the 2024 Summer Olympics. The women's handball tournament at the 2020 Summer Olympics was the 12th edition of the handball event for women at the Summer Olympic Games. It was held from 25 July to 8 August 2021. All games were played at the Yoyogi National Stadium in Tokyo, Japan. It was originally scheduled to be held in 2020, but on 24 March 2020, the Olympics were postponed to 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Because of this pandemic, the games were played behind closed doors. The final was a rematch of the previous between France and Russia.
