Angela Toler
Angela "Angie" Faye Toler was a formerly unidentified decedent who was found in Richmond, Virginia in November 1992, who was unidentified for 20 years. After moving from Princeton, North Carolina to Richmond with her boyfriend, Toler fell out of communication with her family. Toler's boyfriend soon moved back to Princeton alone, but Toler was not with him, and friends and family of Toler never heard from her again. In 2011, Nona Best, who was a cousin of Toler, was at a National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs) academy in Atlanta when a presentation by a Maryland coroner included a picture of an unidentified woman found in Richmond who had died of hypothermia. Best recognized the woman as Angela Toler, and she reached out to Toler's mother and sister as well as Virginia medical examiner Lara Frame to procure DNA sample, DNA samples for comparison. Princeton, North Carolina
Princeton is a town in Johnston County, North Carolina, United States. As of the 2010 census it had a population of 1,194. Each May the town celebrates Princeton Community Day, a festival dedicated to promoting community involvement and town pride. The town holds municipal elections in November in odd-number years to elect its mayor and town council. History Princeton was incorporated as the town of Boon Hill in 1861, named in homage to the nearby Boon family plantation. It was renamed Princeton in 1873. NAMUS
Nāmūs is the Arabic word (Greek "νόμος") of a concept of an ethical category, a virtue, in Middle Eastern patriarchal character. Literally translated as "virtue", it is now more popularly used in a strong gender-specific context of relations within a family described in terms of honor, attention, respect/respectability, and modesty. Etymology The Arabic word "nāmūs" () may mean "law", "custom" or "honor". The Ancient Greek word "nómos" (νόμος) means "law, custom". Cocaine Overdose
Cocaine intoxication refers to the subjective, desired and adverse effects of cocaine on the mind and behavior of users. Both self-induced and involuntary cocaine intoxication have medical and legal implications (even in absence of relevant adverse effects). Shelby, North Carolina
Shelby is a city in and the county seat of Cleveland County, North Carolina, United States. It lies near the western edge of the Charlotte combined statistical area. The population was 20,323 at the 2010 census. History The area was originally inhabited by Catawba and Cherokee peoples and was later settled between around 1760. The city was chartered in 1843 and named after Colonel Isaac Shelby, a hero of the battle of Kings Mountain (1780) during the American Revolution. Disappearance Of Asha Degree
Asha Jaquilla Degree (; born August 5, 1990) went missing at the age of nine from Shelby, North Carolina, United States. In the early morning hours of February 14, 2000, for reasons unknown, she packed her bookbag, left her family home north of the city and began walking along nearby North Carolina Highway 18 despite heavy rain and wind. Several passing motorists saw her; when one turned around at a point from her home and began to approach her, she left the roadside and ran into a wooded area. In the morning, her parents discovered her missing from her bedroom. No one has seen her since. An intensive search that began that day led to the location of some of her personal effects near where she was last seen. A year and a half later, her bookbag, still packed, was unearthed from a construction site along Highway 18 north of Shelby in Morganton. Death Of Jason Callahan
Jason Patrick Callahan (April 18, 1976 – June 26, 1995), previously known as Grateful Doe and Jason Doe, was an American man who was killed in a car accident on June 26, 1995, in Emporia, Greensville County, Virginia. His body remained nameless until December 9, 2015. Earlier in 2015, photographs of an unknown male surfaced on a Facebook page for the John Doe. DNA testing later confirmed Callahan to be the unidentified man. Death Callahan was killed in a vehicle crash, along with the driver, Michael Hager, after the Vanagon in which they were riding crashed into a pair of trees on U.S. Route 58 West around 1:30 PM on June 26, 1995. Neither man was wearing a seat belt, which likely contributed to each of their deaths. Found with Callahan's body were two scalped Grateful Dead tickets, a dollar in quarters, and a yellow Bic lighter.
