Angela Moroșanu
Angela Moroșanu (born 26 July 1986 in Iași) is a Romanian athlete. Moroșanu was discovered by Albu Ştefan who became her first trainer whilst she was at school in Belcești, a village 40 km from Iaşi. She started out competing for sports clubs in Iaşi and Bacău. Currently, she represents CS Dinamo București. At the 2004 Summer Olympics Moroșanu was part of the Romanian 4 × 400 m relay team. She finished 8th in the 200 m final at the 2006 European Athletics Championships in Gothenburg, where she also took part in the 400 m hurdles. In 2007 Moroșanu became the European Under 23 Champion in the 400 m hurdles with a Championship Record time. At the 2008 Summer Olympics Moroșanu made it into the semifinals of the 400 m hurdles, finishing in 16th place overall. Josef Odložil Memorial
The Josef Odložil Memorial ( cs, Memoriál Josefa Odložila) is an annual track and field meeting which takes place in June at Stadion Juliska (until 2001 at Stadion Evžena Rošického) in Prague, Czech Republic. The competition was first held in 1994 as a race over 2000 m in memory of Czech middle-distance runner Josef Odložil – a silver medallist over 1500 metres at the 1964 Summer Olympics, who died in 1993. The programme expanded to a wider selection of track and field events the following year. The meet grew in stature, attracting a number of top-class international competitors, and by 2004 it had gained IAAF Grand Prix status and was broadcast on television by Eurosport. In 2011, it was selected as an "Outdoor Premium Meeting" by the European Athletics Association. The 2008 Summer Olympics (), officially the Games of the XXIX Olympiad () and also known as Beijing 2008 (), were an international multisport event held from 8 to 24 August 2008, in Beijing, China. 2012 European Athletics Championships
The 2012 European Athletics Championships were held in Helsinki, Finland between 27 June and 1 July 2012. This edition marks the beginning of a new two-year cycle of the European Athletics Championships which were previously held every four years. The decision to grant the games for Helsinki was made by the European Athletics Congress on 9 November 2009. Another city that showed interest in hosting the event was Nuremberg, Germany, however Helsinki was in pole position during the whole process.
