Angela Foley (born 13 December 1988) is an Australian rules footballer playing for the Port Adelaide Football Club (AFL Women's), Port Adelaide Football Club in the AFL Women's (AFLW). She previously played for the Adelaide Football Club#AFL Women's team, Adelaide Football Club from 2017 to season 6. A defender, tall, Foley plays primarily on the half-back line with the ability to push into the Centre line (football), midfield. After spending her early life in country Victoria, in which she won a premiership and best and fairest with Bendigo Thunder, she moved to Darwin, Northern Territory, Darwin in 2013. In Australian sport, the best and fairest award recognises the player(s) adjudged to have had the best performance in a game or over a season for a given sporting club or competition. The awards are sometimes dependent on not receiving a suspension for misconduct or breaching the rules during that season. It is similar to most valuable player (MVP) awards in other team sports.
