Angel Pérez Otero
Ángel Pérez Otero (born September 18, 1970) is a Puerto Rican politician, and former mayor of Guaynabo, Puerto Rico. He was a member of the Puerto Rico House of Representatives from 2005 to 2012. Pérez was first elected to the House of Representatives in the 2004 general election. He represented District 6. He was reelected at the 2008 general election. In a special election to replace Hector O'Neill in 2017, he was elected mayor of Guaynabo. Pérez is married to former fellow Representative and Senator Liza Fernández Rodríguez, who was appointed by Governor Luis Fortuño in 2012 as a Superior Court Judge. Tony Soto (politician)
Antonio "Tony" Soto (born April 6, 1973) is a Puerto Rican politician affiliated with the New Progressive Party (PNP). He was elected to the Puerto Rico House of Representatives in 2012 and served until 2021, representing District 6. Soto was involved in a scandal during the 2012 PNP primaries, when it was revealed that there were some irregularities in the voting process at his District. Some of the irregularities involved Mayor of Guaynabo, Héctor O'Neill, forcing members of the municipal police to vote for him, instead of voting for his rival, incumbent Angel Pérez. In the end, Soto prevailed, preventing Pérez from running at the upcoming elections. Héctor O'Neill García (born June 20, 1945) is a Puerto Rican politician who served as the mayor of his hometown of Guaynabo from 1993 to 2017. O'Neill is affiliated with the New Progressive Party (PNP) and has also served as a member of the Senate of Puerto Rico. The 2012 New Progressive Party primaries were the primary elections by which voters of the New Progressive Party (PNP) chose its nominees for various political offices of Puerto Rico for the 2012 general elections. They were held on March 18, 2012 and coincided with the Republican Party primaries in the island. Background At the time of the primaries, the New Progressive Party had already chosen current Governor Luis Fortuño, as their gubernatorial candidate for reelection. He would be joined again in the ballot by current Resident Commissioner Pedro Pierluisi. There was the possibility for a primary between Fortuño and aspiring candidate Iván González Cancel, but he wasn't certified by the Commission. Wilson Soto
Wilson Soto Molina is a Puerto Rican politician and former mayor of Cataño. Soto was sworn in as mayor of Cataño in 2003, after longtime mayor Edwin Rivera Sierra presented his resignation. He was then elected officially at the 2004 general elections. Soto ran for reelection at the 2008 general elections, but lost to the candidate of the Popular Democratic Party, José Rosario.
