Aneiki is an Australian pop duo from Brisbane, Queensland made up of Jennifer Waite and Grant Wallis. The duo was originally called Halogen, but were forced to change their name after a Perth-based Halogen (band) established sole rights to the name's usage in Australia. Their band name is a Japanese word meaning “Big Sister”. Aneiki worked with songwriter Daniel JonesThe ARIA Report, Issue 593 and were signed to his label, Meridienmusik. Daniel Jones (musician)
Daniel Jones (born 22 July 1973) is an English-born Australian musician, songwriter, record producer and real estate agent. He was a member of the Australian pop duo Savage Garden, whose international hit singles included " I Want You", " To the Moon and Back", " Truly Madly Deeply", " I Knew I Loved You", and " Crash and Burn". Personal life Jones was born in Southend-on-Sea, Essex, England, the youngest of 3 boys. When he was a year old, his family moved to Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. In 2000, Jones met Kathleen de Leon (born 1 September 1977), an original member of Hi-5, an Australian children's musical group aligned with a TV series of the same name, at the 42nd Annual TV Week Logie Awards. Savage Garden was an Australian pop duo consisting of Darren Hayes on vocals and Daniel Jones on instruments. Formed in Brisbane, Queensland, in 1993, the duo achieved international success from the mid-1990s to early 2000s with the No. 1 hit singles " I Want You", " To the Moon and Back", " Truly Madly Deeply", " The Animal Song" and " I Knew I Loved You". Halogen (band)
Halogen were an Australian rock band, formed in Perth, Western Australia in 1997. Founding mainstays were Frans Bisschops on guitar and keyboards and Jasmine Yee on lead vocals – both expatriate New Zealanders. Halogen released three albums, ''Save the Ones You Love'' (March 2003), ''Building on the Edge of the Sky'' (July 2004) and ''Sirens'' (July 2006), before disbanding in 2007. History Halogen released a five-track debut extended play, ''Into the Crash Barrier'' (1999). They gained national exposure with the track, "Hole Around My Heart", from their second EP, ''Somewhere You're Alone'' (2001), via Phantom Records/ MGM Distribution.
