Andy Ogide
Andy Obinna Young Ogide (born October 1, 1987) is an American-born Nigerian basketball player for OGM Ormanspor of the TBL. He attended the University of Mississippi before transferring to Colorado State University to graduate there. After college basketball, Ogide settled into pro basketball, where he currently plays with OGM Ormanspor in Turkey. He has also been a member of The Nigeria national basketball team and represented them in the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio. Ogide played in nine contests in the 2019-20 season with Assigeco Casalpusterlengo due to a knee injury. He signed with Cestistica San Severo on January 10, 2020. After averaging 18 points and 8 rebounds per game, Ogide re-signed with the team on July 5, 2020. On July 1, 2021, he has signed with OGM Ormanspor of the TBL Part of the troff suite of Unix document layout tools, tbl is a preprocessor that formats tables in preparation for processing with troff/nroff. Forward (basketball)
In the sport of basketball, there are five players play per team, each assigned to positions. Historically, these players have been assigned, to positions defined by the role they play on the court, from a strategic point of view. The three main positions are guard, forward, and center, with the standard team featuring two guards, two forwards, and a center. Over time, as more specialized roles developed, each of the guards and forwards came to be differentiated, and today each of the five positions are known by unique names, each of which has also been assigned a number: point guard (PG) or 1, the shooting guard (SG) or 2, the small forward (SF) or 3, the power forward (PF) or 4, and the center (C) or 5. AfroBasket 2015
AfroBasket 2015 was the 28th edition of the AfroBasket, a men's basketball continental championship of Africa. It also served as the qualifying tournament for FIBA Africa at the 2016 Summer Olympics Basketball Tournament in Brazil. The tournament was held in Radès, Tunisia. The winner qualified for the 2016 Summer Olympics Basketball Tournament. Nigeria won their first ever AfroBasket, beating Angola in the final 74–65. Chamberlain Oguchi was named tourney MVP. By winning the title, Nigeria automatically qualified for the 2016 Olympics. The next three best-placed teams, Angola, Tunisia, and Senegal, each secured a spot in the final FIBA World Olympic Qualifying Tournament. Nigeria National Basketball Team
The Nigeria national basketball team represents Nigeria in men's international basketball and it is overseen by the Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF). In March 2021, the global governing body FIBA ranked Nigeria as Africa's top men's basketball nation. After the 2016 Olympic Men's Basketball Tournament in Rio, Nigeria was ranked 16th in the FIBA World Rankings, making them the top climber in FIBA rankings from 2015. Nigeria is the only African nation to beat the United States. Nigeria is also the first African team to qualify for the Summer Olympics through the FIBA World Olympic Qualifying Tournament.
