Andy Kerr (American Politician)
Andrew Steven Kerr (born October 21, 1968) is an American teacher and politician who serves on the county commission in Jefferson County, Colorado. Prior to his tenure on the county commission he served in the Colorado House of Representatives from the 26th district from 2006 to 2013, and in the Colorado Senate from the 22nd district from 2013 to 2019, as a member of the Democratic Party (United States), Democratic Party. Kerr moved to Lakewood, Colorado, when he was eight and was educated at Green Mountain High School and the University of Colorado Denver. He was appointed to the state house to replace Betty Boyd (Colorado legislator), Betty Boyd and was reelected in the 2006, 2008, and 2010 elections. During his tenure in the state house he served as the Majority Whip and Assistant Majority Leader. Jefferson County is a county located in the U.S. state of Colorado. As of the 2020 census, the population was 582,910, making it the fourth-most populous county in Colorado. Grand Junction Daily Sentinel
The ''Grand Junction Daily Sentinel'' is the largest daily newspaper in western Colorado, with distribution in six counties. History I.N. Bunting of Pennsylvania and Howard T. Lee founded the newspaper in 1893. In 1911, future U.S. Senator Walter Walker bought the newspaper. When he died in 1956, his son, Preston Walker, inherited the ''Sentinel'', managing it until he died in 1970. The United States census of 2010 was the twenty-third United States national census. National Census Day, the reference day used for the census, was April 1, 2010. Kenneth Guy Summers (born November 12, 1953) is a retired Colorado legislator. Elected to the Colorado House of Representatives as a Republican in 2006, Summers represented House District 22, including southern Lakewood, Colorado and portions of Jefferson County from 2006 to 2012. Max Tyler (born November 17, 1947) is a small business owner and former legislator from Lakewood, Colorado. A Democrat, he was a member of the Colorado House of Representatives in 2010 after being appointed in May 2009 following the resignation of Gwyn Green and subsequently elected to the post.
