Andy Jorgensen
Andrew Earl Jorgensen (born September 10, 1967) was a Democratic Party member of the Wisconsin State Assembly, representing the 43rd Assembly District from 2013 to 2017, previously representing the 37th from 2007 to 2013. He was a member of the Committees on Agriculture, Biofuels and Sustainable Energy, Consumer Protection and Personal Privacy, and Rural Affairs. As a result of redistricting, Mr. Jorgensen's district was divided, and on November 6, 2012, he defeated incumbent Evan Wynn to represent the 43rd Assembly District. Jorgensen was born in Berlin, Wisconsin. He graduated from Omro High School in Omro, Wisconsin in 1986. He attended the Brown Institute, in 1987, to train for a career in radio broadcasting. He worked as a DJ and program host at WNBK in New London, then moved to WFAW, in Fort Atkinson. Wisconsin State Assembly
The Wisconsin State Assembly is the lower house of the Wisconsin Legislature. Together with the smaller Wisconsin Senate, the two constitute the legislative branch of the U.S. state of Wisconsin. Representatives are elected for two-year terms, elected during the fall elections. If a vacancy occurs in an Assembly seat between elections, it may be filled only by a special election. The Wisconsin Constitution limits the size of the State Assembly to between 54 and 100 members inclusive. Since 1973, the state has been divided into 99 Assembly districts apportioned amongst the state based on population as determined by the decennial census, for a total of 99 representatives. Omro is a city in Winnebago County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 3,517 at the 2010 census. The city is located along the Fox River, approximately 10 miles west of Oshkosh, Wisconsin. WFAW (940 AM) is a radio station broadcasting a classic rock format. WFAW previously aired news and talk and oldies music, and for many years featured a country music format. Licensed to Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin, United States, the station serves the Jefferson County and Janesville/ Beloit area. The station is owned by Magnum Media, through licensee Magnum Communications, Inc., and features programming from Westwood One. Along with its sister station WKCH, WFAW is also a major broadcaster of UW-Whitewater Warhawks athletics. On October 5, 2020, WFAW changed their format from news/talk to oldies, branded as "Oldies 940". New London is a city in Outagamie and Waupaca counties Wisconsin, United States. Founded in 1851, the population was 7,295 at the 2010 census. Of this, 5,685 were in Waupaca County, and 1,640 were in Outagamie County.
