Andy Hopwood
Andy Sugden (also Hopwood) is a fictional character from the Television in the United Kingdom, British ITV (TV network), ITV soap opera, ''Emmerdale'', played by Kelvin Fletcher. He made his first on-screen appearance on 4 July 1996. Andy is the son of Billy Hopwood (David Crellin) and Trisha Hopwood and the adoptive son of Jack Sugden (Clive Hornby) and Sarah Sugden (Alyson Spiro). Storylines Andy arrives in Emmerdale and is fostered by Jack Sugden, Jack (Clive Hornby) and Sarah Sugden (Alyson Spiro), but finds it difficult to settle with the Sugden family. While on-site at a quarry, his foot lodges on a rock and gets trapped, forcing Jack to rescue him. When his father, Billy Hopwood (David Crellin), visits Emmerdale, Andy is persuaded to move into a caravan with him and disown the Sugdens. Kelvin Fletcher
Kelvin Warren Fletcher (born 17 January 1984) is an English actor, model, racing driver, presenter and farmer. He played Andy Sugden in the ITV soap opera ''Emmerdale'', a role he played from 1996 until 2016. In 2019, Fletcher won the seventeenth series of ''Strictly Come Dancing'' with his professional partner Oti Mabuse. Samantha Kate Winward (born 12 October 1985) is an English actress. She is best known for playing Katie Sugden in the ITV soap opera ''Emmerdale'' between 2001 and 2015. Christopher Smith (born 15 October 1984 in Bradford, West Yorkshire, England) is an English actor and producer. Career Smith attended Stage 84 drama school in Bradford, where his mother was choreographer, and at the age of four, he was picked from 50 auditionees when Yorkshire Television visited the school searching for a new boy to play Robert Sugden in the ITV soap opera ''Emmerdale''. His father, Richard Smith, also acts and appeared in a minor role in ''Emmerdale'' before Smith joined the cast. Alun Lewis Bennett (born 1949) is a British former actor and musician. Early life He was born in London, the son of Welsh parents Sarah Gwen (née Lewis) and Gorden Bennett. He is the younger brother of actor Hywel Bennett, who played many roles in British film and television.
