Andy C Saxton
Andy C. Saxton is a musician, producer and film composer from Watford, England. He has worked alongside many famous bands and musicians including Bon Jovi, Sepultura, Alexisonfire, Jimmy Eat World. Saxton was also the bassist for the Progressive Metal band Cry For Silence for eight years with the new Slipknot bassist Alessandro Venturella. Saxton has played on albums with Ryan Richards from Funeral For a Friend and Charlie Simpson from Busted/Fightstar Influences According to an interview published in ''Bass Guitar'' magazine, Saxton's main influences are Alain Caron, Jaco Pastorius, Ryan Martinie, Stuart Zender, Les Claypool and Flea. Watford
Watford () is a town and Borough status in the United Kingdom, borough in Hertfordshire, England, 15 miles northwest of Central London, on the River Colne, Hertfordshire, River Colne. Initially a small market town, the Grand Junction Canal encouraged the construction of paper-making mills, print works, and brewery, breweries. Cry for Silence were a British heavy metal band. They influenced and toured with a number of other bands. History Cry for Silence was formed in 1999 by guitarist Alessandro Venturella. He later recruited Steve Sears (guitar), Ali Gordon (drums), Andy C. Saxton (bass) and Adam Pettit (vocals). In their 8 years together, Cry For Silence have been cited as influences by many bands including Enter Shikari, Gallows and Your Demise. New Device
New Device are a UK-based hard rock band, established in late 2007. The band's style is rooted in classic rock of the 1980s, influenced by bands such as: Aerosmith, Skid Row, Metallica and Guns N' Roses. They first gained a modicum of fame via their Myspace site, when they uploaded early demos which were successfully received by fans. ''Takin' Over'' New Device began the recording process for their debut album ''Takin' Over'' in June 2008, with Ryan Richards of Funeral for a Friend handling drum duties. The album was released on Powerage Records on 20 July 2009. The band's debut single was the album's title track, " Takin' Over". Slipknot (band)
Slipknot is an American heavy metal band formed in Des Moines, Iowa, in 1995 by percussionist Shawn Crahan, drummer Joey Jordison and bassist Paul Gray. After several lineup changes in its early years, the band settled on nine members for more than a decade: Crahan, Jordison, Gray, Craig Jones, Mick Thomson, Corey Taylor, Sid Wilson, Chris Fehn, and Jim Root. Gray died on May 24, 2010, and was replaced during 2011–2014 by guitarist Donnie Steele. Jordison was dismissed from the band on December 12, 2013. Alessandro Venturella
Alessandro "Alex" Venturella is a British musician who is the current bassist for American heavy metal band Slipknot. He previously has served as a lead guitarist for Krokodil and Cry for Silence. Earlier in his career, he was the touring guitar tech for Mastodon's Brent Hinds, Coheed and Cambria, Architects, and Fightstar. Slipknot On 7 October 2014, frontman Corey Taylor of Slipknot was surprised by the fact that Venturella had been identified playing bass in a Slipknot video for the song " The Devil in I". Venturella's unique left-hand tattoo had been reported by Metal Chapel News, despite all the musicians wearing masks in the video. Mighty Atom Records is a Welsh based record label. The company was formed in early 2000 by Dave Simpson and Roger Hopkins. It is known for having been one of a few independent record labels at the forefront of the UK emo scene in the early 2000s, due to its early involvement with Funeral for a Friend. It operates out of the former BBC buildings in Swansea, Wales. The label ran into financial difficulties as the years progressed and although still a functioning label, have not released any material since Brigade in 2006. Visible Noise
Visible Noise is a British independent record label that focuses solely on British bands. History Founded in 1998 by ex-Cacophonous Records manager Julie Weir, the label was created with the goal of fostering and breaking new UK rock music into the zeitgeist. Basick Records
Basick Records is a British record label founded in 2005 by Nathan "Barley" Phillips and his half brother Jake Smith. Their business has since expanded into the Invictus Music & Media group, which includes Basick Records itself, the hardcore punk-oriented label Destroy Everything and the PR company Hold Tight! PR. Basick Records' first release was a compilation album, entitled, "Do You Feel This?", released on 8 August 2005. The first band to be signed to Basick was Fellsilent. They were also the first label to release material from Enter Shikari. In 2011, Basick made a global distribution deal (excluding North America) with Warner ADA.
