Andrés Zottos
Miguel Andrés Costas Zottos (born 30 December 1961) is an Argentine politician who served as a National Deputy elected in Salta Province from 2017 to 2021. A member of the localist Salta Renewal Party, Zottos previously served in both houses of the Salta Legislature, and as Vice Governor of Salta under Juan Manuel Urtubey from 2007 to 2015. Early life Zottos was born on 30 December 1961 in Tartagal, Salta Province, to a family of Greek Cypriot descent. He was raised in the Greek Orthodox faith, and married into the Greek Orthodox Church of Antioch with Marisa Yudi, of Syrian descent. He finished high school at the Escuela de Comercio Alejandro Agüado in Tartagal, and has an unfinished degree on economics from the National University of Salta. Political career Zottos began his career in 1992 as Undersecretary of Border Areas in the Salta city government; he then went on to serve as a member of the Tartagal City Council. The Chamber of Deputies ( es, Cámara de Diputados de la Nación), officially the Honorable Chamber of Deputies of the Argentine Nation, is the lower house of the Argentine National Congress ( es, Congreso de la Nación). It is made up of 257 national deputies who are elected in multi-member constituencies corresponding with the territories of the 23 provinces of Argentina (plus the Federal Capital) by party list proportional representation. Elections to the Chamber are held every two years, so that half of its members are up in each election, making it a rare example of staggered elections used in a lower house. Federal Consensus ( es, Consenso Federal, CF) was a electoral coalition in Argentina formed to support the alliance between Roberto Lavagna and Juan Manuel Urtubey in 2019 general election. It is formed by dissidents of the Justicialist Party, the Socialist Party, the Freemen of the South Movement, the Federal Party, the Christian Democratic Party, the Third Position Party and the Light Blue and White Union. The only quartermaster won by the alliance in the 2019 elections was the Chivilcoy party, in the province of Buenos Aires. Guillermo Britos was reelected mayor with 48.05%. General elections were held in Argentina on 27 October 2019, to elect the president of Argentina, members of the national congress and the governors of most provinces. Macri became the first incumbent president in Argentine history to be defeated in his reelection bid.
