André Dubly
André Emelie Dubly (17 November 1884 – 4 April 1972) was a French footballer who played as a forward for RC Roubaix in the early 20th century. Early life André Dubly was born in Roubaix on 17 November 1884, as the seventh of nine sons from the marriage formed by Henry Dubly (1842–1918), a merchant, and Hermance Parent (1850–1922). In the early 20th century, the Dublys were the most prominent family in French football, since André and his brothers Maurice, Léon, Albert, Jean, and Raymond were all champions of France with RC Roubaix, and all of them sept for Albert and André achieved internationals caps for France, although Maurice and Léon did so in unofficial matches against Corinthian in 1903. Overtime (OT) or extra time (ET) is an additional period of play to bring a game to a decision and avoid declaring the match a tie or draw where the scores are the same. In some sports, this extra period is played only if the game is required to have a clear winner, as in single-elimination tournaments where only one team or players can advance to the next round or win the tournament and replays are not allowed. Gallia Club Paris
Gallia Club, also known as Gallia Club Paris to identify the club's location, was a French amateur football club based in Paris. The club was founded in 1896 and were known as ''Les coqs'' (The Roosters). Gallia Club was among the few clubs that participated in France's first-ever football league, ''Le Championnat de USFSA'', joining the league for the 1896–97 season. The club won its only USFSA league title in the 1904–05 season defeating Roubaix 1–0 at the Parc des Princes. Midfielder Georges Bayrou was particularly instrumental in the club's success. Eastbourne () is a town and seaside resort in East Sussex, on the south coast of England, east of Brighton and south of London. It is also a local government district with borough status. Eastbourne is immediately east of Beachy Head, the highest chalk sea cliff in Great Britain and part of the larger Eastbourne Downland Estate. The United Sports Club, better known as United SC, was a football team based in Paris that existed between 1894 and 1909. In 1906, United SC merged with Swiss Football Club to form the US Suisse Paris. Created by British members of the Standard Athletic Club, it began its activities in the second edition of the French Championship organized by the USFSA, the first football competition in France. Notably, United SC finished runners-up in the 1902 USFSA Paris championship and then won the Coupe Dewar in 1903.
