André Dierickx
André Dierickx (born 29 October 1947) is a Belgian former professional Bicycle road racing, road racing cyclist who competed between 1969 and 1981. He competed in the Cycling at the 1968 Summer Olympics – Men's individual road race, individual road race at the 1968 Summer Olympics. He also won the La Flèche Wallonne in 1973 La Flèche Wallonne, 1973 and 1975 La Flèche Wallonne, 1975, the 1971 Tour de Luxembourg, the 1978 Tour of Belgium and the 1973 Züri-Metzgete among other races. Nokere Koerse is a European semi classic single day cycle race held in the Belgian region of Flanders. The Nokere Koerse was created in 1944, initially as the ''Grand Prix Jules Lowie'' in honour of 1938 Paris–Nice winner Jules Lowie who was born in Nokere. From 2005 to 2015, the race was organized as a 1.1 event on the UCI Europe Tour, and starting in 2016 it was upgraded to a 1.HC event. Since 2021, the race has been part of the UCI ProSeries. Le Samyn is an annual single-day road bicycle race in Belgium, held usually in late February or early March. The event was created in 1968 as ''Grand Prix de Fayt-le-Franc'', named after the former municipality where it started and finished. In 1970 it was renamed ''Grand Prix José Samyn'' as a tribute to José Samyn, the race's first winner who died in a race accident in 1969. Johan Capiot holds the record with three wins.
